The Counts Are In!

Our first week of showing went well! The most important thing was for Bowie to be happy and relaxed, which he was! He transitioned well to traveling in a crate and chilled out during down time. He adjusted excellently. No Points for us, though. The first day of showing he was everywhere and not focused at all. The second day went much better. The key is to give him a nice walk before the ring!

Here are the counts for our upcoming shows:

North Shore Kennel Club, Friday: 1-0(1-0)0
(Just Bowie and his older brother, Lucas competing!)
North Shore Kennel Club, Saturday: 3-0(1-0)0
Middlesex County Kennel Club, Sunday: 3-1(2-0)0
Penobscot Valley Kennel Club, Saturday: 1-5(0-0)0

The Maine show's counts make me laugh... At least we'll get OS by default at the very least! And perhaps we'll pick up some points on the way :) Here's hoping!

I also picked up three new suits and some new grooming equipment! Sooo excited! Too bad I have to work this weekend... bleh

Hey Steph!

Glad to hear your first adventures in the ring have gone well form the training standpoint. Bowie's getting used to the drill and will soon know just what to do.

We entered at Ladies, but didn't go -- no majors. Again. I'll be at penobscot. but no majors there either -- so Dinah gets the day off. See you there!

So glad everything is going well for you Steph. We will be in Monroe, MI July 5-6 weekend for the Michigan Brittany specialty. With gas being so expensive, we are going to shows fairly close to home. If you need any help with anything, let me know. If you are stuck on grooming at all, let Linda know. She helped me immensely last year when she was at the same show as us. It made me feel confident knowing my breeder Francine and Linda were there if I needed help. With Brittany people, all you have to do is ask and someone will be there to help!
